Terms

Updated

These terms cover trying Snip, buying a licence and using this website. They’re written to be read. If anything is unclear, email help@heysnip.app.

Who we are

Snip is made by Will Taylor, trading as Snip. “We” and “us” here mean Will Taylor.

Free trial

You can use every part of Snip free for 14 days, with no card needed. After that, Snip asks for a licence to keep working.

Buying a licence

A licence costs £4, including VAT. Polar sells it for us as a reseller and takes the payment, so its buyer terms also apply to the purchase. Your licence key arrives by email.

Your licence

A licence lets you:

It’s for you alone, so please don’t share your licence key, sell or give away copies of Snip, or get around its licence check. Snip stays ours. You’re buying the right to use it, not the software itself. Nothing here stops you doing what the law allows.

We may end a licence only if it’s used against these terms, for example a key shared publicly. We’ll email you first.

Refunds

If Snip isn’t for you, email help@heysnip.app within 14 days of buying and we’ll refund you in full. You don’t need to give a reason. After a refund, your licence key stops working.

If Snip is faulty or doesn’t do what we describe, you’re entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, whenever you bought it. These terms don’t affect your legal rights.

Our responsibility

Snip works through Finder’s own Move command, and we test it carefully. If it does cause a problem, email us and we’ll do our best to put it right. If faulty software from us damages your Mac or your files, and we didn’t take reasonable care, we’ll repair the damage or compensate you for it.

We aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t have foreseen, or for losses caused by something outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. If you buy Snip for a business, our total liability to you is the price you paid.

This website

The website, its pictures and the Jetski game are ours. You’re welcome to look, play and share links. Please don’t copy them or use the site to break the law.

Changes

We may update these terms as Snip changes, and we’ll change the date at the top when we do. A licence you’ve already bought keeps the terms you bought it under, unless the change only gives you more.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
